In depth

Verdict

Inland Run, It's Ej, Prince of Slane and Fusion of Tunes look to be the principles in this novices' hurdle and we will side with Inland Run. The selection has plenty of ability and although he has been a little disappointing in his last two starts, he has shown enough to suggest that he might be capable of hitting the winning trail sooner rather than later with conditions in his favour. It's Ej rates the main danger as he showed plenty of promise on his racecourse debut here in a bumper. He has since been a little disappointing but he will appreciate this faster surface and as he hails from a leading yard he is sure to go well. Prince Of Slane was hampered in running at Kelso last time and as the Alan Swinbank yard are in better form now he could be capable of possibly taking a place. Fusion Of Tunes is the other that catches the eye as he has shown a modicum of ability in his four races to date, but in a race which will not take much winning we will nominate Inland Run as the selection.
