Verdict

WEMYSS POINT is at his best here having won a novice hurdle on this card last year and landing a handicap over course and distance a fortnight ago. Philip Kirby’s charge is worth sticking with despite a 6lb rise. Apterix also ran well for third here recently though remains 8lb higher than when scoring at Sedgefield in August while Plumpton runner-up Lovato is preferred to Will O'The West with the latter looking stuck off his current mark. Quest For Life is normally reliable but faded badly on his reappearance at Aintree and Big Time Dancer is upped in class for this after finishing fourth at Kelso.
