Verdict

Michael Bell doesn't have many hurdlers but TAPER TANTRUM has done the yard proud having completed a double before disappointing in a Kempton Listed event at Kempton, which didn't look his form so he can make amends. Cornborough won a handicap at this level at Aintree in June and has competed at a higher level subsequently while Applesandpierres followed his point-to-point victories with a smooth success in a novices' event at Worcester and could be anything. William Of Orange has been unable to cope with better class contests after scoring at Catterick in January while Turtle Watch steps up a grade after easily landing a Class 4 handicap at Kelso and is 7lb higher. Sakhee's City didn't do as well as expected after winning a Catterick maiden but former Irish winner Eyes Of A Tiger could go well at a fair price from his lowly mark.
