Verdict

MONBEG CHARMER, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper, got off the mark over hurdles with the easiest of all-the-way victories at Worcester last month and looks destined for much better things than this. Robintheaulad won a Carlisle bumper in April and though eventually well beaten on his hurdling bow at Ayr last month he lost a shoe during the race and the run should be forgiven. Some Invitation is related to several winners and is interesting on his debut for Dan Skelton while Sue Smith gets plenty of winners around here and Nomoreblackjack, a winner between the flags, can do better than he showed at Kelso where he ran out of steam after leading for a long way.
