Verdict

Flat winner War Poet is potentially well treated over timber and it would be no surprise to see him step up on his form to date at the winter game now going handicapping. The stable also run fellow novice Herostatus while Brian Ellison has three entered, the ex-Irish Capellanus joining the versatile Dontpaytheferryman and the unexposed Fleet Dawn. Mwaleshi has won easily at Kelso and Carlisle in his last two starts but October's course winner Trucking Along needs further while Unknown Rebel needs to recapture his best form to figure. PERPETUALLY in another who has been racing over further but his two wins last autumn came over 2m and he should be factor here with a 7lb claimer on board. The top weight is preferred to Leicester third Minsky Mine and gets a tentative vote.
