In depth

Verdict

A wide open finale in which we will give the tentative vote to Rubys Cove while both Dance Island and Secret Police are worth noting in the betting market. The selection ran well to finish second on his debut for Irish trainer John Larkin at Wetherby. It is difficult to know what he achieved at Navan when sixth of seventeen but connections have picked what looks like an easier opportunity for their steed therefore he is worth staying on the right side of for now. Dance Island showed promise on his debut when fourth of eleven at Warwick back in January suggesting that there was room for improvement. He could fair better on this sounder surface so is worth keeping an eye on in the market. Secret Police has Tony McCoy booked to ride for Irish trainer Gordon Elliot. He was never troubling the judge on his debut at Kilbeggen but is worth noting just for the connections alone. But for the winner we return to Rubys Cove.
