In depth

Verdict

This looks extremely open and it's not easy to draw definite conclusions. Call Back has plenty on his plate off topweight whereas Lightening Rod has clearly been waiting for the better ground and makes plenty of appeal on his return to action. Rhymers Ha' went well last time on the return from his break and is one to note, but there are also plenty towards the foot of the weights with perfectly valid claims too, such as Circus Star, Cool Baranca and Stanley Bridge. However, let's take a chance on DANTE'S FROLIC from the small but talented Michael Smith yard. The lightly-raced mare was only a narrow scorer in a Catterick maiden hurdle last time but did travel well throughout and gave the distinct impression that she could well be open to considerable improvement, She's a value option in a trappy affair.
