    Verdict

Lemony Bay won a couple of bumpers in the spring while Gone Too Far is another interesting debutant from that sphere having justified short odds at Kempton in May. Varom also has plenty of scope and Gassin Golf already boasts decent form over timber, including a comeback fourth at Cheltenham where he still held every chance turning for home. FRANCISCAN was a bit novicey on his hurdling debut at Bangor but will know more today and the second has franked the form since. As long as the ground doesn't get any softer, Donald McCain's charge can put his Flat speed to good use here and complete the double.
