Just the five runners contest the first race on the card, with the prospect of heavy ground no doubt causing a few defections, and A Wish For You should make experience count here ahead of Lambrini Lace. A Wish For You is certainly nothing special, but improved on what she had shown on her first two starts when third at Lingfield last time. She showed enough to suggest that a nursery career awaits, but in the meantime should be capable of opening her account here providing that she handles the ground. Her sire Tumbleweed Ridge did early on in his career, and so she will hopefully adapt to the switch from racing on a Polytrack surface. Lambrini Lace shaped with a bit of promise on a rain-softened surface at Bath recently when fourth of ten, and looks to be the main danger, while the market is the only guide to the chances of the two newcomers. This should not take much winning, and A Wish For You has obvious claims.
