In depth

Verdict

Recent winner Lindsay and Welsh Main can fight out the finish here, with the first named just having the edge, Jupon Vert appears best of the remainder. Henry Daly's gelding was returning from a long holiday when easily beating Wages earlier this month at Hereford. There should be plenty more to come and he can give weight and a beating to these rivals. Welsh Main is the obvious danger as he is chasing a hat-trick following victories at Hereford and Ludlow. He won with plenty to spare last time and could still be one step ahead of the handicapper. Jupon Vert has a bit to find with the selection on Hereford running, but is weighted to get a lot closer. Of the others Barton Hill can go well if getting his jumping together, however the safest bet here is Lindsay and this one gets the decision.
