Verdict

Plenty has to be taken on trust here and the expectations held by the connections of the newcomers will not really become apparent until the betting for the race opens in earnest. I'll Fly, Emanic and Whitton Park are just a trio to watch out for if supported and hints should be taken if there are each way moves for any. However, Edmo Yewkay has a lofty home reputation now that he has switched codes and he is fancied to get the better of Dickens, Boing Boing and Nierembo out of those with previous experience. The Tim Easterby-trained selection was a little frustrating on the Flat and his debut effort over hurdles did leave a little to be desired when he disappointed at Newcastle. However, he put that right with a much improved display last month and is taken to follow up today. David O'Meara goes some way to easing the minor burden of his penalty so, with trip and ground in his favour, all looks in place for Edmo Yewkay to make a bold bid.
