Verdict

Wishing And Hoping finished second in one of these at Aintree and races off the same mark so has place claims again. Ramses De Teillee’s last victory came just over two years ago but he is 12lb lower now and not out of this. Cobolobo was well behind SNOW LEOPARDESS when the grey mare won last season’s Becher Chase at Aintree. She went on to complete her hat-trick in a Listed race at Exeter before finding the company too hot when pulled up in the Grand National. Back in calmer waters here, she looks to have leading claims. Lostintranslation was tailed off in the Grand National but didn’t stay and has plenty of class while Celebre D'Allen did well last season and will be thereabouts if handling the step up in trip.
