In depth

Verdict

A cracking renewal of this staying chase with the last two winners, Goodnight Charlie and Western Climate, back for more. Innisfree Lad and Eclair De Guye were entered in the same race at Sandown yesterday, however. Tea Time On Mars comes here off the back of an excellent run in last month’s Devon National so stamina isn’t an issue but VOLCANO is preferred. Sheila Lewis’ grey is 2-2 around here and should last home over this trip having been outpaced over 3m around Ludlow last time. Rose Of Aghaboe passed up an easier opportunity earlier in the week and has taken well to the larger obstacles while Mercian Knight appears to be a thorough stayer. The unexposed A Time To Shine is another worth a market check.
