In depth

Verdict

Paul Nicholls has been providing Conor O'Farrell with some decent rides in recent months and the combination have good claims here with THE OUTLAW (NAP), still in contention when coming to grief two out at Taunton when last seen in November. The son of Presenting should have considerable scope for progression and has presumably been kept back for the better ground. The selection also enjoys the benefit of hurdling experience against the obvious danger in Nicky Henderson's Stowaway Magic, who was a tad disappointing when only fourth in a Uttoxeter bumper on his latest start. However, the point-to-point and bumper winner still rates the likeliest threat. Both The Coffee Hunter and Swinton Diamond need to improve to trouble the aforementioned pair but look next best and are preferred in that order.
