Verdict

Ed Dunlop has found a suitable opportunity for Graduation to open her account, and she should do so over the likes of Lady Alize and newcomer Pendulum Star. Most of these have shown very little so far, and it will be a surprise if Graduation does not prove good enough to score at the second time of asking. The daughter of Lomitas shaped like a certain future winner when just touched off at Newbury 17-days ago, and although she would not want the ground to be too fast, she should have too much class for this lot. Lady Alize has by far the most experience and has been placed a few times already, but she is starting to look exposed and has been off the track a while anyway. Pendulum Star could be anything, but is best watched unless the market speaks in her favour, and for the winner we return to Graduation.
