Verdict

None of these can be ruled out with any confidence and it will probably a case of which of the three-year-olds best handles conditions. Shaleek was second on heavy ground at Doncaster in April but the winner hasn't franked the form since and Roger Varian's filly has become expensive to follow. Jocasta Dawn is very speedy which could be a problem over this extra furlong while Half A Billion is probably a shade high in the weights now. A similar comment could apply to Love Tale and Seventeen Seventy carries a penalty for a recent win at Bath. Dutch Heritage will strip fitter for his third at Ayr, however, and Lollina Paulina won over 6f on soft ground at Newmarket last time so can't be ignored. But ALICE'S DANCER impressed when scoring at Goodwood and is fancied to follow up here if the headgear has the same effect a second time.
