Verdict

Grecianette, Murrumbidgee and Leamington Lad look the ones to concentrate on and we side with Grecianette. Willie Musson's representative comes into this contest off a platers mark but had been racing off a mark of 70 during the winter. She kept on stoutly at Lingfield over a mile and if adjusting the step up in trip, there has to be a chance that she could be well in. Murrumbidgee is another to make a step up in trip. John Hills' horses have been running perfectly well at present and again, on the evidence of the races seen thus far, there is every reason to suggest that the trip holds no demons. Leamington Lad had no chance from a horror draw at Beverley last month and the previous course winner should not be written off on this occasion. Great Composer pulls too hard in his races and could improve if consenting to work with, rather than against, his jockey. Cheveley Flyer has to reverse form with our selection. Well backed in the morning of that Lingfield appearance, there could be more to come. Dark Moon was bred to be better as a three year old so the market could well inform us as to whether Andrew Balding has got her well-handicapped. A tough contest on paper but Grecianette does have better form in the locker and we will back her to take advantage of the handicappers' benevolence.
