BURTONS WELL (NAP) made a promising start over fences when second at Sedgefield and finishing clear of the rest. The winner has won again since so the form looks solid enough. Mercian Prince is upped 11lb after winning at Southwell last time but Pistol Park won for the second time over fences when successful at Newcastle in November and could go well. Tanarpino was placed on his chasing bow at Carlisle and In The Rough won over a longer trip here back in September. Solstice Star is a smart hurdler but has yet to figure over fences and it remains to be seen how the likes of Alcala and Herbert Park fare now chasing for the first time.
