In depth

Verdict

A truly desperate contest. Occam would be a confident selection if the ground was fast but with conditions on the soft side, he is easy to oppose. Similarly, Drama King now minus his regular rider, Emily Jones, would prefer conditions on the faster side. Bint St James was a major disappointment at Wetherby on his seasonal debut but should at least handle the conditions. Sirrindi is dropped back in trip while Flush makes his second run in only two years. The TEAMtalk selection is Bachelors Pad. He has at least shown a modicum of ability on the surface and any reproduction of a third in non-selling grade at Doncaster would be more than good enough to take this race.
