Verdict

Green 'n' Gold gets the vote over The Flyer, Presenter and Ask The Umpire. Green 'n' Gold won pulling the proverbial cart over the course-and-distance eight days ago, leading on the bit three out before drawing right away to beat Balmoral Queen by 24 lengths no less. With that in mind, Ginger McCain's six-year-old is going to prove very hard to stop despite a 12lb rise in the weights. The Flyer gave an honest account when second in selling company at Southwell last time but has much more on his plate, while Presenter is at least going the right way based on his second to Coltscroft at Worcester. Ask The Umpire unfortunately has to shoulder a 7lb penalty for an all the way success under Tom Malone at Towcester. He is due to down by the same amount when the new ratings come into effect but will do well to give 11lb to Green 'n' Gold who can make the most of the prevailing conditions to follow up.
