Verdict

DANIMIX and Call me Mulligan stand out like beacons here given their victories at this sort of level, while the pick of the newcomers may be Jon Paul The Third. Tim Vaughan's Danimix was a winner on debut in an Irish point and then in a bumper at Worcester last month. That was a comfortable success and we can expect to see him hurdling come the autumn. Call Me Mulligan has top-weight status as Danimix has a seven pound claimer doing the steering. Rebecca Curtis is making a real name for herself when it comes to turning out bumper winners, and again has the services of Tony McCoy who needed all his coaxing to get Call Me Mulligan winning first time out. Alan King is another master when it comes to this sort of race, so Jon Paul The Third commands respect, especially with Robert Thornton on board. Given the number of newcomers the market has to be watched for both positive and negative vibes, but we'll side with Danimix.
