Verdict

A tricky start to today's card with Artane Boys and Dominican Monk both holding strong claims, however we will take a chance on the progressive Monksford. This five-year-old appears to be still one step ahead of the handicapper following comfortable victories at Chepstow and Newton Abbot. With the ground more in his favour today the hat-trick looks a distinct possibility. Dominican Monk got the hang of hurdles at the second attempt when easily outpointing a modest bunch at Hereford last time. The handicapper has taken no chances, but Colin Tinkler's charge does have plenty of scope for improvement. Artane Boys is from the powerful Jonjo O'Neill yard and showed plenty of potential in Ireland last summer, watch the market for major moves on this one. Best of the rest could be Indian Solitaire, but the form pick has to be Monksford.
