In depth

Verdict

Dundridge Native, Pearly Star and Jump Jet are the three to look at here with Dundridge Native taken to complete a hat trick. Pearly Star won a couple of handicap hurdles at the turn of the year and although unsuccessful since, the gelding has been running consistently. He keeps slipping down the weights and it would not be a surprise to see him hit the frame here. Winner of a maiden hurdle at Stratford earlier this year, Jump Jet ran well in a better contest than this at Ascot last time, staying on in the closing stages. The more testing ground will suit him better and he can go well. Easy Plumpton and Fakenham winner Dundridge Native has clearly upset the handicapper, as he has been raised 23 pounds for his last win. His successes have been so consummate though that he is worth following until beaten. Dundridge Native can score again.
