Verdict

One can never be too confident as to how these young horses will handle the surface and the kickback however the vote goes to Taikoo for a trainer who has a good record at the track; Yes Mr President looks the pick of the Johnston duo and rates a danger along with Caribana. The selection was well held on his Nottingham debut when he only really got going towards the finish. His trainer has a top record at the track and with improvement to come for that debut, he should go well. Leamington ran well on debut when narrowly beaten at Kempton but then ran poorly next time up; the soft ground may be a valid excuse there and better can be expected today. Caribana showed glimpses of ability on her first start and can be expected to improve on that run, whilst Yes Mr President looks an interesting contender. This Montjeu colt looks to be favoured judging by jockey bookings. However whilst Black Heart and Pharaohs Justice have both shown a bit of potential, it is Taikoo who is fancied to oblige.
