Verdict

The usual tricky to call bumper ends the day and the improved performance of DOCTOR FOXTROT last time suggested there could be a win in his immediate future and it can come here ahead of Stayclosetome and Mr Valentino. The Phillip Hobbs trained selection improved nicely from his debut run to narrowly mis out on gold last time. The form from that last run is beginning to work out and this one is related well enough to suggest there is more to come. Stayclosetome was solid on debut in a Punchestown bumper and it would appear connections fancy there chances here making the long trip from Ireland and booking Tony McCoy. Mr Valentino ran a pleasing debut when half way down the field last time. He ran very green early on that day but when the penny dropped he came home nicely. Weapon Of War looks the most interesting newcomer with a few useful sorts his family tree but we'll go with what we know here and Doctor Foxtrot.
