Aughcarra was second at Hereford last month but the form of that race may not amount to much and he looks a little high in the weights at present. Simone Martini won on heavy ground over C&D in November but well beaten on a return visit to the track later that month and finished tailed off on his comeback run on Fibresand recently - it remains to be seen if he'll handle this quicker surface. Charles is another C&D winner but has to bounce back from pulling up at Hereford last time and more interesting is Long Distance, who will have needed last month's run at Perth. DANEHILLSUNDANCE goes well on fast ground and, though he clearly has his own ideas about the game, could be persuaded to put his best foot forward again here and follow up his Hereford success.
