In depth

Verdict

Same Circus is only 2lb higher than when successful at Aintree in October but is one of several confirmed front-runners in this. Tambura is another but has a penalty for beating three rivals at Plumpton at the start of the week. Ostuni won at Fontwell last month but didn’t get beyond the first at Southwell last Sunday. MR CAFFREY is probably high enough in the weights at present but Lucy Turner’s claim will help on that score. A course and distance winner, he looked to be on the way back at Doncaster last month and won on heavy going at Bangor earlier in the season. Solstice Star and Endless Flight look best of the rest.
