Grand Cru won this a year ago and is 4lb lower here but he'd entered the fray in winning form which is not the case this time. Beliar likes this track and has scored twice over the C&D. He ran poorly on his return from a long absence at Wexford last month and may need another run. CLARACH has been placed in all three starts on the Flat and has made very good progress over hurdles, winning at Sligo last week. A mark of 64 looks low and with Danny Mullins taking off another 3lb he should gain his first success on the level. Gudnis Gracious Me was a long way behind Clarach over hurdles at Galway though he's 18lb better off here so has to be considered.
