Verdict

Pharpost makes more appeal than Dun An Doras and Colombian Green in this novices' chase. If Pharpost turns out after his run at Cheltenham on Wednesday, he should be hard to beat, having scored in handicap company at Uttoxeter in June. Given a rest since then, Venetia Williams' charge should be well up to following up in this company. He should be capable of giving 12lbs to Dun An Doras, a useful hurdler who makes his chasing bow. And unless Colombian green has improved over the summer, he should not pose much of a threat. All in all, a secure round of jumping should ensure that Pharpost adds to his tally over fences.
