The 2002/03 National Hunt season gets underway with a fairly competitive heat with a number of in-form rivals. Indian Chance was a highly impressive winner at Wincanton last time but has paid the price and is now 15lb higher while Favoured Option is 7lb higher than when successful at Carlisle earlier in the month and both may struggle off their revised mark. Lord O'All Seasons is consistent enough but appears to be in the handicapper's grip while Young Thruster showed signs of a return to form last time but the vote goes to Picket Piece who won't mind the ground and ran creditably in defeat behind Samuel Wilderspin on his previous start.
