Verdict

Bally Conn gets the vote in this handicap chase with Metal Detector and Lord On The Run rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair fourth in a hurdle behind Tanners Court when last seen. That form looks solid and the fact that his shrewd connections pitch him straight into a handicap on his chasing debut looks significant and he is taken to score off what looks a lenient mark. Metal Detector rates the main danger as he goes well over course and distance and was a fair second behind Kock de La Vesvre. However he looks vulnerable under top weight. Lord On The Run is another worthy of respect as he beat Drumnavaddy Lough he has won off a higher mark in the past and should be watched in the market. Youll Do For Me is from a yard in form but he is unproven over the trip and he may need the run after a 204 day break. Of the remainder Brooklyn Brownie has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to the unexposed Bally Conn.
