In depth

Verdict

Asudo can make a winning return, with Digital Fortress, Moorlands Again, Geordie Peacock and Flash Point all worth a mention. Not too many can be fancied here, and if Asudo is anywhere near fit, then he should prove the answer. The Nigel Twiston-Davies inmate twice saw the backside of the useful Leading Contender in bumper company last term, but sandwiched in between, managed to score at Chepstow. Although Leading Contender was beaten on his hurdles bow last week, the form still looks solid, and a clear round of jumping should make Asudo the one to beat. Jonjo O'Neill's team is in great form at present, so although Digital Fortress has a bit to prove after his Carlisle defeat, it would be no surprise to see him run well. Moorlands Again has no improvement left at the age of 11, but he can go well fresh, while any support for winning pointer Flash Point would be interesting, although he has been off an awful long time. Quite simply Asudo boasts the best form, and his class can carry him through.
