In depth

Verdict

STOLEN THUNDER overcame inexperience to score with a deal of authority on his racecourse bow over this trip at Uttoxeter in October. There is plenty of stamina on his dam's side so this stiffer track shouldn't pose any problems and he is fancied to give the weights away to Skipper Robin, who was already back-pedalling when unseating Paddy Brennan at Exeter last month. Badgers Cove was outclassed in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last week and only won a minor event at Ludlow previously so may struggle under his penalty in this, while De Forgotten Man has something to prove after a poor effort at Exeter.
