        Verdict

Ascot third Asturienne has a good record at Towcester, while the hat-trick seeking Malindi Bay also has to go on the short-list. Kim Bailey's mare won over a slightly longer trip here last month and is clearly at the top of her game. There are a number of less-exposed types in this, however, including Market Rasen second Taketimeout and the former Mark Johnston-trained Mannlichen, a promising second at Plumpton last month. But we'll take a chance on the fitness of the progressive REQUIN, who won a Stratford novice event in March and had plenty of form on softer ground on the Flat in France in his younger days.
