In depth

Verdict

Pingaro De La Vire won over C&D last month but made mistakes when well behind Ballyegan and Quapriland at Exeter next time and will struggle to reverse that form today. Safe Investment ran Spot The Ball to a neck over C&D on his latest start but is 5lb higher today, while Wincanton fourth Pacha D'Oudaires has squandered easier chances in the past. SMOKEY GEORGE ran a lot better than the final result suggests over 2m4f here last month, only giving best approaching the last. As that was his first try over fences, he's open to plenty of improvement and isn't badly treated on his hurdles form.
