Verdict

Although it is a long while since Mr Snowman tackled regulation fences he has been kept on the go in points and, if he retains any of his old enthusiasm for the test, he will be hard to beat today. Trelawney Hill's stable star, who was good enough to take his chance in the 2001 Foxhunters Chase at Aintree, arrives here on the back of a fair effort in finishing second at Kingston Blount just over a fortnight ago and need only run to that level to get the better of Wandering Light and Chief Predator, who are expected to pose him the most problems. The Penny Lowlands-trained Dancing Fonsenby is not one to rely in a finish and he, in turn, will need to put up an improved display if Mr Snowman runs anywhere near his best.
