In depth

Verdict

Flora Muck catches our eye in this event, with Peacemaker representing her biggest danger. Flora Muck comes here in good heart from a stable in very good form. A hurdle winner here on good to soft in May 2002, she came good over the larger obstacles when winning at Uttoxeter four days ago. Physically, she has a lot to commend her and, racing from the same mark as at the Staffordshire venue, she looks up to securing a quick follow-up success. Mister Kingston is winless in 19 runs but has been placed on seven occasions, including at this venue. He does, however, appears to be short of gear changes and, as such, looks vulnerable off topweight. Jorodama King finished well behind the selection at Uttoxeter so a big turnaround in events would be required based on that effort for him to succeed. Therefore, it could be left to Peacemaker to provide the selection with most to do. He receives 15lbs from Flora Muck and he has winning form from a 10lb-higher mark, albeit at Stratford two years ago. That said, the 11-year-old ran well when third to Die Fledermaus following at Worcester following a 100-day break 31 days ago and should go well with that run under his belt. On this occasion, though, we'll stick with the improving seven-year-old Flora Muck.
