      Verdict

Trackattack gets the vote over Port Of Mogan, Papillon de Iena and Lupin to name but a few. This is a poor event to get proceedings under way, and only a modest vote goes the way of Trackattack, a selling winner on the Flat at Beverley for Martin Pipe last year. He has failed to impress at all since joining current connections, but ran fairly well when third in a conditional jockeys' contest at Huntingdon just over a month ago, and will handle this right-handed track. Port Of Mogan was a maiden pointer in Ireland and may have been flattered by his proximity to the odds-on Ar An Shron at Worcester. Nevertheless, this is a drop in grade, and he may take a hand. Papillon de Iena gained his last win over fences, and has been very hard to place over timber lately, while Lupin's trainer won this last year, so he merits a small mention. This is not a race that will stay long in the memory afterwards, with Trackattack the suggestion.
