My Retraet, Brochrua and Sgt Pepper are three against the field in a competitive opener and the narrow vote is given to Brochrua. The selection was a fair third behind Blandings Castle last time out, that form has since been franked and under similar conditions and off the same mark here he will be hard to beat. My Retreat rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Dizzy Future but the drop in trip has to be a concern. Sgt Pepper hails from a yard in form but ran as if in the handicappers grip last time and is past over with this in mind. Mirant has the ability to go close but does not always ordain to use it. Of the others Tayani has dropped to a handy mark but has shown very little of late and for the winner we are happy to return to Brochrua.
