Son Of Rest finished last in a Listed contest at Naas in May but didn't stay 7f and he's since won a very strong handicap at the Curragh on soft ground over this trip. He's still on the upgrade and will take some beating though ARDHOOMEY may have his measure. Ger Lyons' charge, a Group 2 winner at the Curragh in September, was narrowly beaten twice at this level in the spring before tackling Group 1 and 2 level so the drop in class can see him back to winning ways. The veteran Spirit Quartz won this a year ago but was well behind the selection next time and though Magic Bear is progressing nicely she has much more to than when landing a course and distance success last time.
