In depth

Verdict

Jim Bolger can't get a victory out of Leitir Mor, who has been running well enough against strong opposition. He faces 7f for the first time here and will take some beating but THE FERRYMAN really caught the eye in the race won by much better fancied stablemate Mars at Dundalk last week. The least fancied of a trio of Ballydoyle entries that day, he couldn't match the pace of the winner, who is already ante-post favourite for next year's Derby, but stayed on nicely under hands and heels and he can give the winner a big boost. Line Drummer also represents Aidan O'Brien and it would be no great shock to see this son of Galileo out of a mare who has produced numerous winners including the very useful Stormy River going close on his debut.
