Verdict

CHARACTER ACTOR is just 2lb higher than his victory at Limerick in December and ran really well from this mark at Tramore last month so is handed the vote, despite a big weight. Stonehall Jack is consistent but makes his handicap debut on a high enough mark while triple hurdles winner Fahamore has yet to get to grips with jumping fences. Winning point-to-pointer and hunter Winter Magic was beaten when falling at the last at Limerick but found the three miles taxing his stamina and this is more to his liking. De Benno can get into the argument providing the ground doesn't dry out and prolific point-to-point winner Final Gift is much better than he showed when favourite at Leopardstown in February.
