In depth

Verdict

Imperial Butterfly started favourite for a race at Newcastle earlier this month won by Friday’s Albany Stakes winner Dandalla. She missed the break and wasn’t given a hard time so is probably better than the bare result suggests. Alghada was third at Leicester nine days ago and has travelled up from Newmarket but HALA HALA HALA looks to have a good draw on debut. She’s a 50,000gns daughter of Exceed And Excel out of a 7f and 1m winner and should be forward enough to make a winning start to her career. Miss Nay Never was a £140,000 yearling and is a half-sister to several winners but doesn’t appear to have fared as well with the draw.
