In depth

Verdict

It is hard to oppose the in form Yorkshire Blue who can beat Lord Of The East and Bollin Edward. When landing his second success at Doncaster earlier this month, Jim Goldie's charge stuck to his task in good style in the final furlong, he was always holding the runner-up at bay. It would come as no surprise to see him complete a hat-trick. Lord Of The East finished well behind stable-mate Pax at York last time but is better judged on his previous effort at Hamilton when runner up behind Stoic Leader. Bollin Edward has to be considered following a recent fifth behind Abashoosh at Pontefract. In a very open affair Dara Mac could be best of the low-weights, but Yorkshire Blue could still be one step ahead of the handicapper and is given the nod.
