In depth

Verdict

Leg Lock Luke threw away a winning opportunity here 10 days ago when swerving on the run-in and dumping Tom O’Brien out the side door. He also looked like winning here in January but folded tamely after jumping the last and clearly has his quirks, though blinkers are applied today. We’d rather be with INNOCENT GIRL, who looked a natural over fences in the autumn despite unseating her rider at Huntingdon in between victories at Towcester and Fontwell - she goes well fresh so an absence since November is not a concern. Fingers Crossed led until the last when second at Ludlow in January but Brinestine looked beaten when falling at Leicester and is proving hard to place.
