Verdict

Allerford Jack didn't fare too badly on his hurdling debut at Fontwell and will know more today. Dineur has finished in the frame in all three starts in bumpers and is likely to have been well schooled but the one to beat is undoubtedly DARK LOVER, who won over C&D in November and went down with all guns blazing when only beaten a head in a jumpers' bumper at Kempton on his only subsequent start. Most of the others have little to recommend them, though Glassawine is possibly an exception as she made much of the running when fourth in a bumper over 1m5f at Newbury five weeks ago and is improving with experience.
