In depth

Verdict

Shoreacres was a decent hurdler and showed promise in all three starts over fences last season. He was still travelling strongly when falling behind Tanks For That at Plumpton around this time last year but hasn't raced since and is probably taking on an above-average novice here in QOZAK. Paul Nicholls' seven-year-old showed the benefit of a couple of runs behind the useful Rock Noir by getting off the mark over the larger obstacles over C&D three weeks ago, beating Keki Buku by 10 lengths. He has nothing to fear from the disappointing Hopeful Start on that run and can defy a penalty today.
