Verdict

The four year old Template beat older rivals on his handicap debut at Market Rasen last week but this looks trickier with a 6lb rise to contend with. AMANTO, a winner on the Flat in Germany, started favourite on his return to action on the level at Newbury last month. He didn't run badly and with that under his belt can start to make progress over hurdles beginning here. Abyaat has a similar profile and is also fit from a good run on the Flat last week but Perspicace has gone backwards in handicaps since his novice victory here in March. Walter White looked promising when completing a double in August 2013 and though falling on his belated return at Exeter last month he was in touch for a long way before weakening.
