In depth

Verdict

The Happy Warrior has been in terrific form and has won three times this season, including twice around here. He has a penalty for his latest victory but regular partner Gary Derwin still claims 5lb and there is no reason why the six-year-old won't be thereabouts again. Tara Tavey was only beaten a neck over course and distance last month and is another leading contender and Calusa Star has been showing signs of improvement but the David Pipe pair, Keep The Cash and Milor De La Borie, are proving disappointing. TORRAN SOUND has a poor strike rate but the handicapper has given him a chance here and he might improve on recent runs on this slightly better ground - he may be the value today.
