In depth

Verdict

Waterspray should go well here despite top-weight, but Macnance has hit form with a vengeance and looks set to follow up his recent Huntingdon victory, best of the others should be Maiden Voyage. Richard Lee's nine-year-old has not really fulfilled his potential over the larger obstacles but showed he is still capable of landing some small prizes when successful last time. He still looks on a decent mark and looks the one they all have to beat. Waterspray has come up against some decent enough types since winning at Plumpton in September. He never gets beaten far and looks set for place money again. Maiden Voyage made a pleasing, if not spectacular chase debut last time and should improve for the experience. Kicasso is from a yard in top form so watch for any market move, but Macnance has now remembered how to win and should be followed
